Christian Rinaudo
C. Rinaudo is a lecturer in Sociology at Nice Sophia Antipolis University and a member of URMIS (UMR Cnrs 8245 - UMR Ird 205, Migrations and Society), specializing in ethnic and migration studies. In France, his work focuses on the ethnicization process of social relationships in an urban environment. Between 2003 and 2006 he studied how ethno-racial identities were produced in the city of Cartagena, Colombia, and how they appeared. Since 2007, he has been working on a project involving the city of Veracruz in Mexico, with an approach which encompasses the social and political uses of African heritage.
